Network Tasman provides electricity distribution services to electricity retailers in Nelson Tasman (excluding Nelson City, which is supplied by Nelson Electricity). Network Tasman has an agreement with each retailer for the provision of distributed services.
Prior to 2021, services to all retailers were provided under a Use of System Agreement. These Use of System Agreements were superseded by the regulated Default Distributor Agreement (DDA) in 2021. The DDA has been prepared in accordance with the DDA template regulated by the Electricity Authority. The DDA is also available to all new retailers seeking to operate on our network.
