The Subdivision Process

We have been installing fibre optic infrastructure in subdivisions around the Nelson/Marlborough region for a number of years. Both businesses and residential property owners are now demanding fibre as the primary telecommunications technology for new homes and locations of business premises. This demand for fibre now impacts both home buying and business location decision-making.

Our local team of subdivision experts work with residential, commercial and industrial subdivision developers to provide the latest fibre technology. We can deliver a super-fast reliable service to surf, download and stream at amazing speeds regardless of proximity to the nearest fibre node.
Commencement
We start with a general overview of the planned subdivision including concept and development stages with proposed amounts of lots and the indicative staging schedule. We then develop a plan for how to extend our network to reach and service each individual lot.
Reticulation
We formulate a plan for the actions and materials required and work out a price per lot. The design will be a specific plan for the reticulation of each stage of construction in agreement with the developer prior to putting the works out to the tender.
Infrastructure
The network infrastructure is built to the boundary of each lot. We install a roadside network cabinet/s as a distribution point for the subdivision. Our technicians will test and commission each duct to ensure it is ready for the fibre to be blown in.
Complete
Our technicians will terminate, connect, test and commission the fibre connection leaving the lot with a broadband service capable of delivering data at the speed of light. Any ongoing repairs of maintenance of the network becomes Network Tasman Limited's responsibility.
